By the way. I dislike the increase in nominations for best picture.

Actor in a Leading Role

• Jeff Bridges in “Crazy Heart”
• George Clooney in “Up in the Air”-  Haven't seen this but I doubt they are going to award him.
• Colin Firth in “A Single Man”-  I've heard good things about this film, but Jeff Bridges seems more popular.
• Morgan Freeman in “Invictus”
• Jeremy Renner in “The Hurt Locker”  -  I hope Jeremy Renner wins, but he will probably lose out to Jeff Bridges.  I think the Golden Globes are

Actor in a Supporting Role

• Matt Damon in “Invictus”
• Woody Harrelson in “The Messenger”
• Christopher Plummer in “The Last Station”
• Stanley Tucci in “The Lovely Bones”
• Christoph Waltz in “Inglourious Basterds” I really enjoyed him in this movie, again I think the Golden Globes predict this. 

Actress in a Leading Role

• Sandra Bullock in “The Blind Side”- I feel like it's Sandra Bullock's year. 
• Helen Mirren in “The Last Station”-  She won for The Queen I don't think it's happening this year
• Carey Mulligan in “An Education”-  Could be a surprise, but I know nothing about this movie.
• Gabourey Sidibe in “Precious: Based on the Novel ‘Push’ by Sapphire”- Like many underdogs, a nom not a win. (Whale Rider- Keisha-Castle Hughes  2002)
• Meryl Streep in “Julie & Julia”- I would love Meryl Streep to win. LOVE her to win.  But it's traditional for Meryl Streep to be nominated only.  Except for those two occasions (Kramer vs Kramer, Sophie's Choice)

• Penélope Cruz in “Nine”- Could possibly be competition for Mo'Nique
• Vera Farmiga in “Up in the Air”
• Maggie Gyllenhaal in “Crazy Heart”
• Anna Kendrick in “Up in the Air”
• Mo’Nique in “Precious: Based on the Novel ‘Push’ by Sapphire”
